Made it to Alaska!

Last week of July
Many thanks to the crew from North Dakota that roughed in all the electrical! Can't believe they got it all done. The church building has wires hanging everywhere. Also a big thanks to Mark a electrician from Florida that spends his summers in Alaska and helped plan out the electrical process.
We took a weekwnd vacation down to Homer, 3 hours away, to camp a couple of days. The weather was cool and wet but we had fun and it cleared off enough to see the Pacific Ocean and mountains across the bay. We fried halibut and lingcod over the campfire for our dinner. YUMMY! There was also a Concert on the Lawn going on Saturday and Sunday at the park we camped at so we had free local music. It was actually pretty decent stuff. The entire family enjoyed hiking along the beach of Kachemack Bay at low tide and found some really cool creatures. It was so nice to relax in the midst of our busy mission project.
