The final details on the Alaska end are coming together! We will be staying in the trailer attached to the current church. A lady from the church that has been living there has graciously moved out for the summer so we can move in. It has two bedrooms (one is used for church stuff on Sunday) and laundry. It will be an adventure for us to live in 900sq ft with 3 boys! There is even rumoured to be a spot for a garden?!
God continues to bless us with unexpected gifts from His store house and we can say we are just a smidgen away from being fully funded. He told me last summer that He had already provided the money to do this mission and He has.
Made it to Alaska!

cleaning house
Our goal this week is to clean the house- including the basement. Since its been raining we don't have an excuse not to do it. After a 4 hour effort by the whole family
yesterday the basement is done! On to other areas today. It's hard to imagine being away all
Summer but God has called us to serve and we will obey- convience and comfort are not important. Following our God is.

Travel Help
Since we will be in the truck for 72 hours or so- it would be greatly appreciated if you could loan us DVDs, books on CD, travel games or any sort of other activites for kids!

One month away
Wow! Just one month until we leave. I've been doing alot of packing of the camping gear, some food stuff and clothes. Having to think in terms of taking 3 months of clothes and supplies is a little more challanging. Hopefully there will be enough room in the truck.
God is so faithful and we are so excited to see what He is doing and going to do in Alaska. Continue to pray that the construction project will fall into place as work crews are formed, funds are provided for materials and lives will be changed for the glory of His kingdom.
We are still praying and looking out for a family that might be in need of a house for a short time this summer.

April Update
Wow~ another month has flown by. We are getting down to the last weeks before we leave. Packing has begun and we are wondering how we will get it all in.
God has blown us away with His provision. We are just about fully funded! Praise God.
We will be leading a Financial Peace University while we are up there- please pray for us and the church up there for what He is going to do!

March Update
Can't believe March is almost over! We are less then 10 weeks away from our departure date. Planning and preperations will be kicking into high gear now.
God is continuing to amaze us with the generosity of people and amazing unexpected provision of the funds we need to make this mission possible. Our need is $17,000 and we are at about $12,000- more than 2/3rds of the way there!
We are continuing to pray for someone who might need a house for a couple months this summer. We are also looking for a topper for the truck.
On the Alaska end they are in need of a structural engineer to certify that the existing structure is safe to use as a church building. They received a very high costing bid from someone to do this so the prayer is that they would be able to find someone to do it at a reasonable cost.
